Fujian Pinghai Bay 200MW Offshore Wind Power Project: 220kV Step-up Substation Project
The 220kV step-up substation for the Fujian Pinghai Bay 200MW Offshore Wind Power Project is located in Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province. It is China's first 220kV factory-prefabricated modular substation for offshore/island wind farms, situated merely 3km from the coast. The station configuration includes a 1*200MVA main transformer, with a single busbar arrangement on the 220kV side and an extended unit connection on the 35kV side. The entire station was fully prefabricated in the factory, employing an all-precast cabin layout, fully insulated design, high protection rating (IP65), high corrosion resistance (C5-M), centralized air conditioning, and fresh air systems. These advanced features ensured reliable equipment operation in the high-salt-fog and highly corrosive environment. The project progressed from the factory prefabrication phase to on-site construction, entering the pre-energization acceptance and finalization stage within just two months overall, and was successfully commissioned in 2018.
